The Idiot: Pop on Synth

Muffled and ethereal robo-kraut debut by Iggy Pop produced by Bowie in Berlin circa 1977.

P.S. Brian just pointed out Iggy’s Schiele style pose on the cover. Good eye, mate.

You've both probably heard at least one tune from this album- Trainspotting used his song "Nightclubbing."

An Aquarium Drunkard wrote about it:

“...one of the producers had a scene in his head with the junkie lads walking down the street like a gang of vampires to the eerie swagger of Iggy Pop’s “Nightclubbing.” While the scene didn’t make the final cut, the song itself did, adding to the decadence of the soundtrack as a whole.”

The album is great...although it’s a bit weird so be forewarned!
